At our recent IGU-CGE Steering Committee meeting, Dr. Clinton van der Merwe (on behalf of the IGU-CGE 2025 Stellenbosch Conference Organising Committee) shared a preview of the global visitor map for the upcoming IGU-CGE 2025 Conference.

The map tells an inspiring story—visitors from South Africa, Belgium, the United States, Germany, China, and beyond have already shown interest in joining us. From all corners of the world, the geography education community is coming together.

This is more than just a conference. It’s a global gathering of minds, a space where educators, researchers, and practitioners unite to shape the future of geography education. It’s where new ideas are born, partnerships are formed, and bold visions for the future take root.
